Folios 297-298: Robert Honeyman, HMS Leda, off Helvick. Following an order from Admiral Rowley dated 19 July 1803 he states the case of James Winterburn said to be an apprentice on board the brig Air who had neither indentures nor protection when impressed.
Folio 299: enclosure with folios 297-298. Letter dated 16 July 1803 by Thomas Ferguson, 3 George Yard, Lombard Street. Encloses an affidavit sworn by Edward Robinson of the Air regarding the impress of James Winterburn.
Folio 300: enclosure with folios 297-298. Letter dated 16 July 1803 by Edward Robinson, swore before the mayor Price in the Mansion House that his vessel the Aire is moored in the Port of London and that Winterburn is a bone fide apprentice who was indentured on 1 September 1801 to Jonathon Staniland of Selby, Yorkshire, the owner of the Air. He states that Winterburn was impressed on 11 July 1803 when the brig was off Winterton in the North Wold and is now on board HMS Leda. Further details are given.
