Folios 235-236: John Oakes Hardy, HMS St Albans, Downs. While under the command of Admiral Vandegrut, he appointed Therence Connor Master at Arms in October 1799. Connor was only paid as an Able Seaman when he was paid in Portsmouth so he asks for payment from his appointment.
