Folios 479-480: Philip Hue, HMS Actaeon, Liverpool. Responding to Admiralty letter of 20 September, says that upon examination, the man calling himself William Prichard has confessed that his real name is Humphries. The indentures he claimed in order to obtain a discharge therefore do not belong to him, but to another, the real William Prichard.
Folios 481-482: enclosure with folios 479-480. Letter dated 17 September 1800 by R. Kirkpatrick, Liverpool, writes to say William Pritchard [sic] was bound apprentice on 2 January last to James Waddington, Master of a coasting vessel of Liverpool, and has served his master faithfully until impressed a few days since. He encloses the indentures [not now present] and a bill of lading showing the tonnage of the vessel, hoping that the young man may be discharged.
