Description

Folios 589-590: Martin Hinton, HMS Modeste, Spithead. Regarding his arrival with 330 men of the Rifle Corps from Cork.

Folios 591-592: enclosure with folios 589-590. Copy of the orders dated 23 August 1800 to Hinton given by Admiral Kingsmill (Robert Brice) to transport the men to Spithead and provide victuals as land forces expect onboard His Majesty's ships.
