Folios 239-240: Graham Hamond, HMS Lion, Blackstakes. Regarding William Hewitt, late of HMS Queen Charlotte, recommending him for the position of Boatswain.
Folios 241-242: enclosure with folios 239-240. A warrant dated 24 February 1800 from Lord Keith to Hewitt, appointing him as acting Boatswain on Lion, also signed by Vice Admiral Nicholas Brown.
