Description

Folios 194-195: Thomas Hamilton, Margate. Confirming that he has never given any authority to grant the Sea Fencibles protection from being impressed which is claimed in the attached documents.

Folios 196-197: enclosure with folios 194-195. Letter dated 4 April 1800 from John Roberts on HMS Fury off Lymington enclosing a note purporting to grant a Sea Fencibles protection to a James Hall.

Folios 198-199: enclosure with folios 194-195. Protection certificate dated 7 February 1800 on behalf of James Hall.
