Folios 170-171: Charles Hamilton, London. Responding to their Lordships' request for explanation of why HMS Snake was detatched from his convoy, Hamilton explains the orders he issued in Spithead and how the wind forced certain changes resulting in certain ships becoming separated, so HMS Snake was sent in support; and although he failed to rendezvous with Snake, he is not concerned for her safety.
