Folios 155-156: Charles Hamilton, HMS Melpomene, Fayal. Informing the Admiralty of his actions in taking the Island of Goree and the size of force left behind with provisions for four months and that, should some accident happen to his ship on the return voyage to England, they will know that men and provisions will therefore need to be sent out.
