Folios 92-93: Benjamin Hallowell, HMS Swiftsure, Lagos Bay. Regarding Richard Harper, previously Boatswain on HMS Alemene who was appointed acting Boatswain on HMS Swiftsure by Lord Nelson on 13 August 1798 and whose conduct has always been highly meritorious, so Hallowell requests that he now be granted a Warrant as Boatswain.
Folio 94: enclosure with folios 92-93. Copy of the letter of appointment, signed by Sir Horatio Nelson K.B, HMS Vanguard off the Nile.
