Folios 236-238: John Hamstead, HMS Squirrel, Woolwich. Benjamin Sutton was impressed on board HMS Squirrel from an English brig at Port Royal on 11 May 1799. He says he was born at Norfolk, Virginia, but has no document to proved that he is an American citizen.
