Folios 234-235: John Hamstead, HMS Squirrel. George Morgan was impressed on board HMS Squirrel on 29 December 1798. He had no document to prove he was an American citizen and he believes he is an Englishman. He deserted on 23 [October 1799] at Woolwich.
