Description

Folios 216-217: Richard Hill, HMS Tromp, River Marray [Moray Firth?]. Reply to letter dated 17 November 1798 and he will carry out the orders on the arrival of the French prisoners from Ireland. Reports HMS Kingswood has not yet arrived. HMS Hebe has had the signal for the Convoy out and several[?] days. The Harvick he understands will sail tomorrow morning. He has today recovered the Anchor and Cable left behind at Hoylake the last time HMS Tromp brought over the French Prisoners. Having no orders respecting Jacob Jacobson, in answer to his of 10 November 1798 he will keep him on board, his Wife a native of Liverpool has visited him several time.
