Folios 165-166: Richard Hill, HMS Tromp, Spithead. Covering letter for the enclosed Weekly Account [not present] and a Certificate from the Carpenter of HMS Tromp concerning HMS Fury Gun Vessel. Report that HMS Fury proved so bad in her Bottom it was thought proper for her to remain in Hurst Camber until further orders. Lieutenant Stuart was left in HMS Fury in Allum [Alum] Bay. HMS Terror has not yet returned there. He was going to anchor in Cowes Road but received orders to proceed to Spithead which he did as soon as the weather permitted. He has embarked the Four Hundred and Seventy Seven Men, Women & Children of the 100th Regiment. HMS Tromp is at single anchor and HMS Europa is unmooring and as soon as the wind is right he will execute their orders. He applied to Admiral Sir Peter Parker yesterday for men to make up the complement of HMS Tromp but he could only get twelve, if she stays for another day waiting for the wind, he request her Complement be completed.
