Folios 104-105: John Baker Hay, HMS La Sensible [HMS Sensible], Tagus. Report on an incident on 7 September 1798 when a large ship under Danish colours bore down to La Sensible then under Shanish. A Officer was sent on board and reported that she was from Batarvia and bound to Copenhagen, that her Officers and Crew were chiefly Dutch, French and Javanese/Blacks with not above two or three Danes, that her Officers wore Dutch Uniforms and governed the ship in the Dutch Language, that she had never before been to Denmark or Europe. [Details of the Cargo and Letters found on board] [Mentions:- the Graff Bernstorff, Fabricius & Weaver of Copenhagen, Christmus Septimus Captain [Jonnings?], Kroon Prins Fredirec Captain Olaces]. She was laden with Sugar, Coco, Redwood and [?] and thought to be a Dutch East Indiaman. Was sent to England as part of a Convoy under HMS Blenheim.
