Folios 92-93: John Baker Hay, HMS Alliance, Nore. Having received an order by Vice Admiral [Skeffington] Lutwidge to complete the complement of HMS Alliance and a Sergeant's Party of Royal Marines consisting of fourteen having been sent and to be included in the establishment of one hundred and twenty one men he is not sure how to use them in the establishment of a Sloop of War, although HMS L'Etrusco Store Ship had them. Reports that HMS Alliance has nothing to wait for at the Nore and awaits their Orders.
