Folios 68-69: Edward Hawker, HMS Lord Mulgrave, Kingroad. Reply to letter dated 12 November 1798 respecting James Bell who he has examined respecting his being an American. He was impressed by an Officer of HMS Lord Mulgrave out of a Danish Galliott, concealed in her hold and since being on board he has acknowledged he is a Welshman and comes from Llanwist in Wales and that his name is Hughes.
