Folios 208-209: Lawrence William Halstead, HMS Phoenix, Plymouth Sound. Reports that James Qitich and James Hayes, late of HMS Phoenix, who were sentenced last July to solitary confinement at Marshalsea Prison for mutiny, for 1 year and 2 years respectively. escaped some months ago. Thought there may be a desire to enquire how they escaped.
