Folios 187-188: George Home, HMS Glory, Spithead. He has received no orders regarding the paybooks of HMS Glory and 6 month wages are soon due according to the books left to him by Captain Bowen. He asks for the books to be received which has become urgent due to the number of discharges. He has now received a letter asking for paybooks from December 1794 to March 1796 which it is impossible for him to do in a reasonable time.
Folios 189-190: enclosure with folios 187-188 dated 21 April 1796. Copy letter from Captain George Home, HMS Glory asking for a dispensing order as pay books produced by Captain Jones had been cancelled although not destroyed. He asks for the same procedure to be applied as was used when HMS Prince George was paid. He may produce errors if he is required to reconstruct pay books as Officers and Men were tranferred to HMS Prnce George and back to HMS Glory. Copy letter dated 19 April 1796 from W.Billingham,, Navy Office to Captain Sir George Home. The Muster books and Slops books were sent to the Commissioner's Office at Portsmouth to enable him to produce the pay books for the year ended December 1795.
