Folios 171-172: George Home, HMS Defiance, Sheerness. He is returning Mr Virtue of Alloa's letter (not present) which he received yesterday while attending the Court Martial of the HMS Defiance mutineers. He had been informed by Vice Admiral Buckner that remittance tickets for two thirds of the Bounty money, due to Peter Geech and John [Thuro?] , the third quota being due to Charlie Delaforce who is on shore in sick quarters, should be made payable to Charles Virtue at Alloa, once they had been signed by the two men, in order that he could recover the money advanced to them by the Commissioner's at Alloa, contrary to the Act of Parliament. Despite his best endeavours to persuade them, the men refuse to sign the tickets.
