Folios 123-124: James Green, HMS Dolphin, Carlservna [Karlshamn?]. Acknowledges receipt (this day) of Mr Barrows letters of 3 December 1813 and 6 December 1813 the former enclosing the copy of a letter sent by Lieutenant General Bright, Royal Marines from Corporal Wakeham Private Royal Marine serving on HMS Strenuous respecting the death of Edward Blatchford Private Royal Marine belonging to HMS Strenuous on 9 November 1813. The latter stating you had received a letter from Lieutenant John Nugent commander of that vessel, enclosing a copy of his letter to me on that subject. I state that I have been on board HMS Strenuous and made strict enquiry and do find that every circumstance concerning the death of Edward Blatchford is correctly stated in Lieutenant John Nugent's letter dated 9 November 1813. I will send HMS Strenuous to England in the spring agreeable to their lordships defections in Mr Burrows letter dated 6 December 1813.
