Folios 476-477: John Gascoyne, Regulating Captain, Swansea. States the case of George Masters, aged nearly 18, impressed by Lieutenant [Henry Thomas] Shewen on shore on 8 November 1813 and with 2 years at sea is believed to be a fit subject for the Navy and is now on board HMS Bloodhound.
Folios 478-479: enclosure with folios 476-477;: letter dated 11 November 1813, from George Masters, near the Ship Aground, Swansea, Glamorgan to the Admiralty. Petitions for the release of his son, James Masters, whose under age protection was granted on 14 August 1813 by the register, examined on the Parish books of St Margaret, Swansea but which were overlooked by John Gascoyne and Lieutenant [Henry Thomas] Shewen when they impressed James Masters on 8 November 1813.
