Description

Folios 448-449: John Gascoyne, Regulating Captain, Swansea. Acknowledges directions dated 26 October 1813, to send HMS Bloodhound to Milford to assist in conveying the men who took HMS Triumph there, back to Plymouth. Advises that HMS Bloodhound has not yet arrived in Swansea nor is there any other brig or vessel available as HMS Conquest sailed with the convoy to Plymouth on 25 October 1813. Also explains that the directions to refit HMS Ant must refer to the tender HMS Ann, now at Tenby, as HMS Ant was discharged from service a few days prior to his joining.
