Folios 444-445: John Gascoyne, Regulating Captain, Swansea. Reports the case of Richard Price, aged 23, Ordinary Seaman impressed on 24 October 1813 by Lieutenant [Henry Thomas] Shewen from the Hebe brig on the grounds of having served an Apprenticeship before the date of his Indenture.
Folios 446-447: enclosure with folios 444-445: letter, dated 24 October 1813, from Thomas Carder, owner, he brig Hebe, at High Shell, Swansea to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of his apprentice Richard Price, who was impressed by Lieutenant [Henry Thomas] Shewen whom he says is ignorant of material affairs. Explains that he had obtained an Admiralty Protection at the Custom House for the brig Hebe of Bideford and 6 men & boys on 15 September 1814.
