Description

Folio 257-258: John Gore, HMS Revenge, Port Mahon, [Menorca]. Encloses the Muster Book [item not present] for HMS Revenge for the period 1 February 1813 to 31 March 1813, together with 1 Dead Ticket and 12 Foreign Remove Tickets, Ship's Book numbers listed in the margin, Requests that the 'R' is removed against the name of William Hart, Seaman, SB 218 so that he may claim his wages, explaining that Hart having obtained permission to go to Greenwich with his Smart ticket, was left behind when he exceeded his leave of absence but returned voluntarily and rejoined the ship by following her on HMS Aboukir.

Folio 258: enclosure with folio 257: Service record of William Hart, Ordinary Seaman from 13 May 1805 to 28 March 1813. Mentions HMS Revenge, HMS Royal William and HMS Aboukir.
