Folios 248-249: John Gascoyne, Regulating Officer, Limerick. Reports that William Lonie, currently on the receiving vessel,was impressed, under his orders while on shore, belonging to the sloop Clyde of Grenock, 120 tons, and alleges to be the Carpenter of that vessel. States that while the Master claims William Lonie is protected the only document that can be produced is the Carpenter's Affidavit made a few days before. Advises that he is refusing to discharge William Lonie.
