Description

Folios 239-240: John Gascoyne, Regulating Captain, Limerick. Reports that Edward Thornbrough, Vice Admiral, has ordered HMS Earl Spencer, which had been sent to the Irish coast with stores for the Signal Station, to take the newly raised disposable Men and Boys to join HM Fleet. Encloses a list of the 16 men and boys taken on board on 2 June 1813.

Folio 241: enclosure with folios 239-240: Original list of newly raised of Men and Boys raised at Limerick and sent on board HMS Earl Spencer for conveyance to HM Fleet. Contains details of date of impressment, rating, volunteer or pressed, age, where from, where belonging and any remarks. Names listed: John Casey, John Hagan, Thomas Rodgers, Jacob Wood, Francis Lally, Robert Bradby, John Williams, Bryan McDonagh, David Byies, James Bermingham, James McKierdy, Robert Wyly, Patrick Higgins, Thomas Nash, Nathaniel Roche and John Murphy.
