Folios 201-202: James Henry Garrety, HMS Parthian, Spithead. Forwards 2 letters received by him from James Uzuld Purches, Lieutenant, HMS Parthian requesting to be superseded.
Folios 203-204: enclosure with folios 201-202: Letter, dated 15 May 1813, from James Uzuld Purches, Lieutenant, to James Henry Garrety, HMS Parthian, enclosing a letter to the Admiralty requesting that he may be superseded from HMS Parthian.
Folios 205-206: enclosure with folios 203-204: Letter, dated 15 May 1813, from James Uzuld Purches, Lieutenant, to the Admiralty. Requests that he may be superseded from HMS Parthian before she proceeds to sea, having obtained permission from Captain [Frederick] Vernon that he may be appointed Senior Lieutenant of a larger ship Frederick Vernon is about to commission.
