Description

Folios 193-194: Toulmin & Copeland, Naval Agents, Surrey Street, Strand. Advises that James Alexander Gordon, Captain, served as a Lieutenant in HMS Racoon, in the West Indies between 22 October 1802 and 21 October 1803 and and has lost his certificates from the late Austin Bissell, Captain, Commander HMS Racoon from 1 January 1803 to 21 October 1803, and who was lost in HMS Blenheim coming from the East Indies. Requests the need for the certifcates from Captain Bissell is dispensed with so they may receive the pay of James A Gordon.
