Refers to an enclosed letter from the surgeon requesting leave and states that he has not seen the suggested substitute. The sick list for the day shows 8 convalescents and one hundred and seven supernumeraries who will be discharged into the brig HMS Peacock.
Folios 128-128a: enclosure with folios 126-127. John Jeffcot, surgeon HMS Princess, Liverpool, 29 April 1811 writes that he has been unwell for fourteen days and has procured a respectable surgeon to serve as a substitute if he can be granted six weeks leave
