Description

Folios 183-184: Edward Grey, Regulating Officer, Hull. Encloses a certificate confirming receipt of 4 landsmen substitutes for Richard Webster, a seaman on board HMS Marlborough, as directed in the letter of 24 February.

Folios 185-186: enclosure with folios 183-184: Sarah Akester, Old Ferry Boat Landing, Hull, to The Admiralty, 1 July 1810. In response to the letter of 24 February, following the petition dated 22 February, the writer has procured the substitutes required in the place of her son, Richard Webster. She encloses the certificate from Captain Edward Grey that he has received 4 landsmen as substitutes. Captain Grey will send a copy in the post. Requests her son's discharge as soon as possible.

Folio 187: enclosure with folios 185-186: Edward Grey, Regulating Officer, Hull, 1 July 1801. Certificate confirming the receipt of 4 landsmen as substitutes for Richard Webster, a seaman on board HMS Marlborough: Michael Johnson (3 March), William Jennison (10 March), Henry Moseley (2 April) and William Green (30 June).
