Description

Folios 181-182: Edward Grey, Regulating Officer, Hull [Rendezvous]. Covering letter for the enclosed letter from Lieutenant George Fox acquainting me of Thomas Coy's having deserted from the Tender under his command. Also three affidavits to enable him to be prosecuted when captured. [Total of two sides with details]. [Plus] A list of the names of the men who were in the Boat who picked up Thomas Coy before he made his escape:- George Evison - Pilot, William Joys - Pilot, William Pierpoint - Pilot, Edward Silburne - Fisherman & William Silburne - Fisherman

Folios 183-184: enclosure with folios 181-182. Lieutenant George Fox, HMS Sheerness - Tender, Hull Roads. To Captain Edward Grey, Regulating Officer, Hull. Dated 17 March 1809. Report the escape of Thomas Coy an Impressed man from HMS Sheerness.
