Folios 149-150: James Grant, Knockers Knowl near Plymouth. Reports that having recovered from his severe illness which obliged him to give up command of HMS Raven in January 1809 on her return from the West Indies. He now requests employment. He has made many useful discoveries in New Holland while in command of HMS Lady Nelson under the direction of His Grace the Duke of Portland who will recommend him.
