Folios 258-260: Edward Grey, Regulating Captain, Hull. on 13 [February 1808] James Todd an Able Seaman aged 27 was taken as a deserter. He admits he deserted at Plymouth from HMS Colossus, Captain Morris, in the summer of 1805 3 or 4 months before the Battle of Trafalgar. He has since been to Greenland for 2 seasons and when he was taken he had a Greenland Protection for this year. he will be sent to the Nore immediately to be disposed of.
