Folios 110-112: Henry Richard Glynn, Regulating Captain, Poole Rendezvous. Reports that Lieutenant Marshall apprehended John Tucker as a deserter from HMS Duke of York. He admitted having deserted from her at Weymouth.
Folios 12-114: enclosure with folios 110-112. Letter dated 10 October 1808 from Parke & Baskitt, Wine Merchants, Poole. Their porter was impressed a short time ago in company with some young men of the town. IN a thoughtless frolic he went on board HMS Duke of York hired cutter then at Poole. He was on board 7 or 8 days without making any agreement of receiving money or clothes. He then left her. He has never been at sea apart from this. His parents are almost wholly dependent upon him for their support. Today he has ben removed form the Rendezvous to the receiving ship at Spithead. Before he was impressed he was apprenticed. They hope for his discharge.
