Description (What the record is about)

Folios 232-233: Edward Leveson Gower, 37 Queen Anne St, London. Reports he has asked Samuel Robinson and Francis Little for certificates of their ages. He realises it was an omission on his part not to record their ages on the report he sent from HMS Shannon, but they might not have been accurate. Mr Robinson had passed the examination for Lieutenant before the accident, and Mr Little did so in the December or January just past, so the Admiralty should be able to find their ages accurately.
