Description

Folios 441-442: Edward Grey, Regulating Officer, Hull. Acknowledging the order to send the Sheerness tender to the Nore and he has appointed George [Reenor?] to command her. He could not appoint an lieutenant of the sea from Sea Fencibles as they are under Captain Cuthbert. He needs a replacement tender as the ships of war are moored in the Hawke Roads, 24 miles from Hull and not possible to get the raised men there without a tender. Enclosed are a report of HM ships in the Humber & the surgeons report on Lieutenant Andrew Lessly.
