Folios 446-447: Daniel Oliver Guion, HMS Trusty, Spithead.
Reporting the arrival of the Trusty at Spithead, with the Hon. Major General Finch and 379 Coldstream guardsmen aboard, having left Gibraltar on the 8th December as per the orders of Sir James Saumarez. Admiralty note on rear asks what has been the proceeding regarding the ships from Egypt, and asks to see the letter received previous day from the Ceres.
Folios 448-449: Enclosure with folios 446-447: Sir James Saumarez, HMS Caesar in Gibraltar Bay, 8 December 1801, to Daniel Oliver Guion, Captain, HMS Trusty. Writes that Governor Ottara has sent on a letter from the Earl of Cork, requesting in consequence of the fever which is rife amongst the Coldstream troops aboard the Delft troopship, that those in health should be removed to the Trusty. Therefore directs Guion to proceed to Spithead with the regiment aboard.
