Folios 436-437: Abraham Guyot, HMS Sandwich.

Informing their Lordships that 3 tenders, the Sally, master G. Pratt, the Neptune, J. Rushfield, and the Hannah, E. Crane, arrived by the orders of Captain John Wainwright and Captain Robert Parry, to remove prisoners of war. Upon examination by the masters and Lieutenant Young, Guyot finds they are much too small and not suitable for the job. Each will contain only about 25 healthy men, there is no room for cradles of other necessaries for the sick and invalid men who will be first to be shipped. Ends by saying he has not yet had an order from the Admiralty for the delivery of any prisoners. Admiralty note on rear says to order him to send as many as possible who are in a state to be removed without danger, also that the Transport Board must send suitable ships, and if what they have are insufficient to hire others.

Folios 438-439: Enclosure with folios 436-437: John Wainwright, Chelsea, 10 October 1801, to Lieutenant Young. Directs that having received orders to send their tenders to remove prisoners of war, he should proceed without any loss of time, with the Hannah and the two small tenders, putting a midshipman and part of his gang aboard, and proceed to Chatham. Then on the way past Sheerness to call on Admiral Graeme and let him know what service he is on.

Folios 440-441: Enclosure with folios 436-437: John Wainwright and Robert Parry, Regulating the Impress Service in and about Town, King's Head, 12 October 1801. Orders to the recruiting officer to break up his Rendezvous and discharge his gang, returning his press warrants. However, as he is ordered to proceed with the Hannah tender to Chatham to remove prisoners of war, as per former orders, and as an accident prevented him from doing so, they want him to proceed with the Hannah immediately to Chatham on this service, and on joining the Sally and the Neptune, to discharge any of his gang aboard them. He is to let the commanding officer know of his service and if he is delayed must take further orders from him.
