Folios 432-433: Abraham Guyot, HMS Sandwich, Gillingham.
Covering letter enclosing a letter from Lieutenant John Bassett, requesting 14 days' leave of absence to settle his private affairs. Admiralty note on reverse says no objection if service will not suffer. But notes that the prison ships properly come under Admiral Alexander Graeme and therefore the request should go through him.
Folios 434-435: Enclosure with folios 432-433: John Bassett, Lieutenant, HMS Sandwich, Chatham, 28 April 1801, to Evan Nepean, Admiralty. Requests he be allowed 14 days leave having 'business of great importance to myself' to settle in the country.
