Folios 279-280: John Gore, HMS Aeolus, Sheerness.
Joint letter from Gore and Captain John William Spranger of HMS Aeolus, that they having been at sea in their respective ships, are confirmed in their opinion that the complement allowed is not equal to the work of those ships. They ask that 16 able seamen be allowed them when available, or that if they procure men for themselves they should be allowed to bear them.
