Replies to letter from the Admiralty concerning John Dennis, recently mpressed and on the Medusa. Accepts that he had an Indenture but thinks it might be a forgery and that he has been at sea before.
Folios 257-258: Enclosure with folios 255-256: Thomas Poole, Dorest Street, 1 July 1801, to Evan Nepean.
Affidavit claiming John Dennis is an apprentice to Mr. Harrison and was impressed from a ship coming up the river despite have an Indenture and Admiralty Protection. His discharge is requested.
