Description

Folios 304-305: Anselm John Griffiths, HMS Atalante, Cowes Road. Reports that he worked down to this anchorage this morning tide for the purpose of embarking Hunts Fencibles, which are now on the Isle of Wight. The two Transports Friendship and Providence in Company. The other Transport Hercules was unable to keep with him [gives details of the pore design and sailing qualities of the Hercules being a Dutch design].
