Description

Folios 300-301: Anselm John Griffiths, HMS Atalante, Spithead. Reports arrival at this Port as per the enclosed Orders from Vice Admiral Sir Thomas Pasley Bart [(Baronet Pasley of Craig)]. with the Transports he was directed, as ordered on 20 May 1799. Also encloses a list os vessels that received instructions from him and came round under his Convoy. (From Cork to Portsmouth as soon as the 25th Regiment are landed - Sir Thomas Pasley Bart.

Folio 302: enclosure with folios 300-301. Letter dated 30 May 1799 by Vice Admiral Sir Thomas Pasley [(Baronet Pasley of Craig)], HMS Cambridge, Hamoaze (Plymouth), to Anselm John Griffiths, HMS Atalante. The resident agent for Transports at this Port states that the Fencibles are ready to embark on board the Transports Hercules, Friendship and Providence. And you are to sail as soon as they have done so.

Folio 303: enclosure with folios 300-301. Report of Vessels Examined by HMS Atalante form 7 March 1799 to 18 April 1799. [List of 20 Vessels stating:- Time, Ships Name, Masters Name, Owners Name, How Rigged, No of Men, Guns, Tons, Whence, Where bound, Where belonging, No of Days at Sea, Lading, Whom Consigned & Inelegance].
