Description

Folios 276-277: Edward Griffith, HMS Diamond, Cawsand Bay. Report that after delivering Dispatches with which he was charged by Lord Keith [Sir George Keith Elphinstone (1st Viscount Keith)] for Admiral Kingsmill [Sir Robert Brice (1st Baronet)] at Cork and returned off Ushant, but not finding the Fleet there (after Cruising for them four days) he was proceeding to Torbay to look for them but having yesterday spoke the Harwich Sloop, he was informed by Captain Bartholomew that Lord Keith [Sir George Keith Elphinstone (1st Viscount Keith)] was at Plymouth, he therefore proceeded here where he is desired by Rear Admiral Collingwood [Lord Cuthbert Collingwood (1st Baron Collingwood, of Caldburne and Hethpool)] to remain until he receives further orders.
