Folios 256-257: Edward Griffith, London. Having acted as Captain of HMS Triton by virtue of an Admiralty Order, between 7 November 1798 and 18 January 1799. He requests an order for him to be paid without passing accounts as it appears by the enclosed Certificate that he had left with Captain John Gore all the necessary Books and Papers for him to pass Accounts for the time.
Folio 258: enclosure with folios 256-257. Certificate that during the time Captain Edward Griffith acted as Captain on HMS Triton the books were in his charge, and when he rejoined the Books were delivered to him perfectly regular and correct also every other Account and Paper related to the ship between 7 November 1798 and 18 January 1799.
