Folios 218-219: Thomas Graves, HMS Cumberland, St Hellier. Not having had a reply to my letter of the 26 November 1799, he encloses a List of men discharged from HMS Royal William, to serve as part of the complement of HMS Cumberland, who informed him that they had voluntarily entered with the Officers, and for the Ships as expressed against their Names, under the assurance, that they should receive the Kings Bounty. The Men named on the List from HMS Polyphemus had a notation on their Discharge List signifying that they had not received Bounty - Michael Kempkey (a Native of Russia) excepted, who said he had Captain [George] Lumsdaine's promise that he should receive it with the others. He sends a duplicate of the List.
