Folios 139-140: John Gore, HMS Triton, Hamoaze. He has ben asked by the Captains of the Spanish Frigates El Thetis and Santa Brigida to acquaint you that we have in company with the Commissioner General Grenville and Sir John Borlase Warren Bart and KB visited every Store in the Dock Yard where there was a possibility of depositing the Treasure from the above mentioned Ships with convenience, and from the extensive communications between all the cellars and Store Houses, it has been thought desirable to put it there. Has therefore in their name requested Lieutenant General Grenville will be pleased to allow it to be received in the Citadel at Plymouth and a Guard placed over it for security which he has been pleased to grant. He has therefore given the necessary orders.
