Folios 86-87: Thomas Le Marchant Gosselin, HMS Brunswick, Hamoaze. Reports that John Ryall, lately of HMS Brunswick, is appointed Gunner to HMS Terror Bomb and has sailed for Newfoundland in HMS Active.
Folios 88-89: enclosure in folios 86-87. Letter dated 4 July 1795 from Vice Admiral , Sir William Cornwallis to Captain Thomas Le Marchant Gosselin appointed acting captain of HMS Brunswick. Whereas the Right Honourable Charles Fitzgerald, Captain of HMS Brunswick, is in too bad a state of health to go to sea, you are hereby authorised to be Acting Captain of HMS Brunswick
