Folios 62-65: John Gore, Golden Lion Cartel, Spithead. Left Cadiz with a letter from Rear Admiral Robert Man on board HMS Windsor Castle with a squadron of 7 Ships of the Line and 3 Frigates many having sustained storm damage, gives details of the state of HMS Censeur which was unlikely to be repaired easily, the disposition of the French squadron and a Spanish squadron bound for Lima under Vice Admiral Don Allava with 3 74-gun Men of war and a 44-gun Frigate, refers to an exchange with Monsieur Richery of officers and men, asks for the date of a Court Martial on the capture of HMS Censeur, list 23 invalided named officers and mentions a further 201 seamen and invalids who were sent home.
