Folios 36-37: Anthony Gibbes, Regulating Captain, Swansea. Encloses a Protection for Thomas Owen, an Apprentice, taken by Lieutenant Richard Littlewort when he claimed to be an Apprentice on the Bea, George Lloyd Master, on engineering at the Custom House, being unable to verify his claim, he has detained him for service unless directed otherwise.
Folios 38-39: enclosure in folios 36-37. A printed protection dated 28 January 1795 in the name of Thomas Owen referring to an indenture dated 19 January 1795.
